No one likes to work when their stomach is growling. While it may seem silly, providing snacks or food-based perks works amazingly to motivate employees. One study found that 57% of employees feel more valued and appreciated if offered food-based perks. 

In addition, 44% said they would be less interested in accepting a job offer from another company if provided food-based perks. Through the power of food, you have the opportunity to not only reduce staff turnover but increase employee motivation. 

9. Recognise Achievements

Sometimes, it’s the small things that make an employee feel valued and appreciated. More often than not, employees want to feel that their efforts aren’t going unseen. One of the major methods of employee motivation is recognising achievements. 

Employees who have their achievements recognised enjoy working as they feel their time is being properly invested. Recognition could be a simple email or acknowledgment during a staff meeting.
